Preparation of Hafnium Bars Manufacture. The conditions to support low impurity levels in metal at different redistributions are determined. The analysis of metal structure formation processes depending on modes of deformation heat treatment of semi-manufactures and their influence on final product is made. Electron-beam melting was used to receive base ingots. Deformation treatment of bar was conducted using forging and rolling in profile rolls. Final heat treatment was combined with bar alignment. The surface of the prepared bars was exposed to grinding and then the control
of product properties and quality was conducted.

Problems of biofuels market formation in Ukraine are examined, actual and potential shares of biofuels in fuel consumption structure by transport sector in Ukraine are defined. Increase of amounts of biofuels consumption by means of adoption of biofuels blending mandate in the largest cities of the country is offered and substantiated, which will help creating respective infrastructure in the rest areas. Problems impeding development of the market are analyzed,
and means to solve them are suggested.

The technological process developed with the use of high voltage electrical discharge as a source of energy for grinding metallurgical silicon, provides its disintegration in the fraction necessary for
the production of electronic products.

Improvement of Production System of Domestic Diagnostic Preparation «Lantavist». With the help of improved technique the basic chemical component of gadolinium diethylenetriaminepentaacetate preparation substance is obtained. The additional methods (spectrophotometry and luminescent) of control of substance components’ and medicinal form’s (indicated complex with D(-)-N-methylglucamine) quality are developed. The technological line of preparation overflow resulting in
diminishing of its production losses is improved.

Development of Industrial Methods of Position-Sensitive CsI(Na) Detector Production. Development and engineering of position sensitive radiation detectors on the base on CsI(Na) single crystals is described. It is shown that the line of innovations during development of both material and detector is the core for the new generation of radiation detector production. The main feature of the development is the multi functional approach to each technological step. The proposed approach has been tested
at statistical series of 46 detectors.

Construction of the Recombinant Yeast Strain of Pichia stipitis with Improved Alcoholic Fermentation of Xylose. The modified form of the xylose reductase (XR) of Pichia stipitis with decreased affinity toward NADPН(H+) was created via site-specific mutagenesis. Recombinant strain of P. stipitis overexpressing the mutated XR characterized by 1,3-fold increase in productivity of xylose alcoholic fermentation was constructed. The rates of alcoholic fermentation of hydrolyzates of wheat bran
and sawdust were also improved.

Use of Endophytic Bacteria for Adaptation of in vitro-grown Potato Plants to ex vitro Conditions and Protection of Planting Material from Phytopathogenes. A scientific approval for the development of biotechnology for adaptation of potato plants in vitro and their natural immunnity priming by potato endophytic bacteria has been founded. Bacterization of healed potato by strains Methylobacterium radiotolerans IMBG290 and Pseudomonas putida IMBG294 at transferring to ex vitro conditions’ allowed to increase the plants engraftment and forming of valuable seedlings, and to avoid mandatory use of expensive pesticides. Minituber yield of seedlings obtained from inoculated cuttings exceeded control more than 50 %. In addition, the number and weight of tubers increased. Priming potential of M. radiotolerans IMBG290 against potato pathogens with different strategies is a sort-specific. The positive effects of plant priming obtained after cuttings treatment during
micropropagation preserved in the next generation.

Introduction of Energy-Saving and Pollution-Free Heat Pump Technologies of Heat Production Into Heat and Cold Supply Systems of Housing and Communal Services. Situation on application of heat pump technologies of heat production in municipal services worldwide and in Ukraine is considered. Reasons interfered large-scale introduction of heat pumps in Ukraine are analyzed; recommendations on their overcoming are given. The problem of rational introduction of heat pumps is studied. Research on the optimal designing and choice of the effective operation modes of the equipment is carried out. The study allowed generating optimal competitiveness conditions of wide
introduction of heat-pumping systems in Ukraine.
Key words: heat pump, ecology, introduction, heat sup ply, communal power supply. Kostenko N.V. Dynamics of Cultural Needs of Ukrainian Population: Expectations and Risks. The results of the research establish that in the conditions of financial and economic crisis the risk of cultural need deprivation of socially uncertain population categories, cultural request replacement to the periphery of individual and public senses under influence of economic pressure, social and cultural inequality implantation is significantly increased. It is determined that increase in differentiation of status groups in socio-cultural space, distance extension between them in the field of spiritual, intellectual, aesthetic claims and their realization is promoted by activity of political elites to identify these groups as objects of electoral impact as well
as by market activity in their target control.
