  APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Sequence of unit operation:

  • a program is selected from the control computer memory, which corresponds to a specified = certain heat exchanger to be welded. This program assigns, according to the heat exchanger drawing, the position of each tube and sequence of tube welding;
  • alignment of each tube axis with the welding gun axis is performed, using X-Y table, on which the heat exchanger is fixed;
  • alignment accuracy is controlled, using a secondary electron emission system RASTR and, if required, is corrected by the electromagnetic deflecting system;
  • this is followed by welding by a beam of electrons, scanned by a program around the tube circumference.

  MACHINE DESIGN

The work chamber has one sliding door. X-Y-axis workpiece manipulator is moved out of the work chamber onto the runout platform, where the heat exchanger is assembling for welding
