MODEL UL-157
CYCLE TYPE MACHINE FOR WELDING OF GEAR COMPONENTS
FOR THE AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY

  • An extremely high power density at the focus of the beam, the high welding speed results in narrow welds and heat affected zones with little distortion of the toothed gear wheels.
  • PLC of all machine systems.
  • Visualisation of the weld region by VCU system on the basis of the secondary electron emission, x10 magnification.
  • High stability power source with the electron tube flashless system.

  MACHINE DESIGN

Electron beam machine consists of:

  • 6-component positioning rotary table with pneumatic-lift for up-down moving of the workpiece lower chamber;
  • the workpiece upper chamber with the rotation mechanism;
  • vacuum evacuation system with two rotary vane, one Roots and one turbo molecular pumps;
  • high voltage supply 15 kW, 60 kV;
  • electron beam gun with vacuum valve;
  • control system on PLC Simatic S7-200 on Siemens basis;
  • video control unit (VCU).

The electron gun can slide transverse to the upper workpiece chamber to be able to move the axis of the beam to the respective positions when welding axial seams of different diameters.

The entire working sequence, from evacuating, rotating the workpiece, welding and changing the workpiece is carried out automatically according to a preset program and with a high degree of reproducibility of the set.
