Description: | Developed accumulative vacuum-deformation techniques enable to produce such metallic multilayered composites - microlaminates that may contain several thousands of layers per 1 mm of the total thickness of the composite, i.e. the thickness of the individual structural components of these composites can be hundreds and even tens of nanometers.
For certain values of structural and dimensions parameters microlaminates demonstrate such properties and functional characteristics (mechanical, electrical, magnetic, thermal, dissipation, radiation-protective etc.), which is considerably higher than the sum of the individual characteristics of metals-components of the composite, i.e. exhibit emergent properties.
Technical advantages: | Nanoscale structural components of microlaminates and emergent properties provide for these composites such values of them functional characteristics which are significantly above the corresponding characteristic of matrix metals and/or non-existent at these metals.
The economic benefits: | A consequence of the high technical efficiency microlaminates due to their unique properties and functional characteristics is that value of the "efficiency / cost" parameters for microlaminates significantly exceeds these values for best traditional materials similar functionality.
The impact on the environment. Environment: | The main technological process of microlaminates manufacturing operations carried out in a vacuum and is not accompanied by the use / formation of harmful substances, so it should be recognized a high degree of environmental production of composites.
