the training of scientific personnel and advancement in its
qualification.

Primary tasks of Council of the Young Scientists
support
(including financial) of young scientists and specialists of the
Marine Hydrophysical Institute;
development of
the initiative and dilation of participation of young scientists and
specialists in fundamental and applied research in the field of
marine systems and technologies;
realization and
participation in scientific seminars and conferences;
cooperation with
young scientists and specialists of other organizations;
participation in
organization and realization of competitions of activities of young
scientists and specialists.
General regulations and organizational principles
Council of Young scientists of the Marine Hydrophysical Institute
was reorganized in 19.11.2004. Council of Young scientists work is
coordinated by Council of Young scientists Presidium elected at the
general meeting of the Council members. Council of Young scientists
is a voluntary association based on common interests of
post-graduate students, young scientists and specialists of the
Marine Hydrophysical Institute. Main aims of the Council are:
support of scientific work of Council of Young scientists members,
their professional and cultural contacts with other scientific,
youth and student high-school organizations in Sevastopol, Ukraine
and also with foreign colleagues; creation of favorable conditions
for professional and scientific-research activity of young
scientists.
Main Council of Young scientists regulations
1.1. Council of Young Scientists and specialists of the Marine
Hydrophysical Instituteis created with the aim to represent and
support professional interests of young scientists, to help to
publish and apply the results scientific activity.
1.2. Council of Young Scientists staff is formed of post-graduate
students, young scientists and specialists not elder than 35 years.
An individual member of Council of Young scientists of the Marine
Hydrophysical Institute is called an employee of the institute, a
post-graduate student of any form of education or an employee of any
other organization who is on business in the Marine Hydrophysical
Institute, not elder than 35 years and who agree with the aims of
Council.
1.3. Council of Young Scientists Managing Committee is elected
once per three years at the general meeting of young scientists,
specialists, post-graduate students and doctoral students working in
the institute through voting by show (simple majority). The meeting
is considered to be authorized if more than a half of Council of
Young Scientists members are present.
1.4. Council of Young Scientists Chairman is elected from the
Managing Committee members - post-graduate students, specialists or
scientific workers not elder than 35 years - for three years through
secret vote or a vote by show (according to the decision of the
majority of those present) by simple majority.
Results of Council of Young Scientists activity
• organization of lectures delivered by the leading researches of
Marine Hydrophysical Institute and Moscow State University;
• informational support of young scientists;
• help in publishing scientific papers and participation in
scientific conferences.
