Set up on July 14, 2004.
Main lines of Center’s activities are:
- search for, synthesis and studies of physico-chemical properties of novel environment-friendly materials (registering and structural optical carriers) for long-term storage of digital information;
- mathematical modelling and stability forecasting for physico-chemical and optical properties of materials and compounds for optical information-recording systems.
Major research achievements and developments:
- Process specifications have been worked out for producing novel crystalline, glassy and amorphous materials, intended for acoustooptics, optical- and microelectronics, sensors and elements of ferroelectric storage.
- Methods of deep purification of initial components for synthesizing compound semiconductor materials have been developed.
- Technological regimens of producing recording layers on the basis of chalcogenides for optical information recording have been optimized.
- A technology and technological equipment for depositing recording layers on the bore area of cylindrical information carriers has beens elaborated.
An automated facility for studying liquid-etching processes of inorganic resists has been developed and manufactured.
