Principal achievements and developments:
A concept of common optical-disc data carrier for computer information storages has been proposed.
The world-first ES 5150 removable-optical-discs information storage with the capacity of 2500 MBytes and ES 5153 small-size optical-cylinder storage with the capacity of 200 MBytes, relying on immersion recording, have been produced.
Fundamentals of the theory of computer-system robustness, the concept of information security of Ukraine, organizing principles of data protection and technologies of safe work with information resource in distributed information-analytical systems have been proposed.
A Governmental information&analytical system for handling emergencies, a system of information&analytical dataware for the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, a system for information&analytical support of the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine have been produced; a concept of forming the System of National Electronic Information Resources has been developed.
Principles of long-term (over 300 years) storage of digital information on special carriers have been proposed, with a view to creating archives of important engineering, financial and scientific information.
A basically new technology and equipment for non-destructive optomechanical transferring of Edison wax cylinders onto computer carriers have been developed.
A system of computer-information mass distribution over TV broadcast channels Vse-Vsim electronic computer newspaper has been set up.
Dzherelo Ukrainian Abstract Journal has been started and regularly published.
