Founded on July 8, 1969.
The Institute does research into:
- state regulation of production sphere; regional, regulatory and innovation policy; international transfer of knowledge;
- industry-development strategy in the context of current world-economy transformations and its finance&economic regulation; management modelling and information technologies;
- theoretical and applied aspects of microeconomics; production management and corporate culture; institutional provision for basic economic activities;
- socio-economics; socio-economic problems of production and social policy.
The Institute has elaborated:
- scientific&methodological fundamentals for promoting innovative industrial development in the region;
- a mechanism of plan&finance regulation of state industry operation and ways for its improvements, with account being taken of market economy features;
- scientific&methodological regulations for structural analysis and forecasts of economic growth in Ukraine;
- a model of the mechanism of economy elements interaction, scientific&methodological regulations to form the economic mechanism of coal industry functioning in the context of the strategy for developing fuel-energy complex; basic lines of financial recovery and technical re-equipment of mine-building industry;
- a concept to improve state regulation of production sphere in the region; conceptual fundamentals of special-taxation regimes and investment activities of small business; recommendations for using planning, organizational&economic, innovation&investment and control&analytical regulating influence on the operation of industrial enterprises in the region;
- a concept of regulating innovative activities in coal industry in Ukraine and methodological recommendations towards regulation of economic relations between coal mines and private investors in co-exploitation of mining leases;
- a scientific concept of the mechanism to finance production-potential development, which provides for harmonization of economic, legal and organizational conditions and factors ensuring permanent management measures aiming at efficient accumulation and distribution of finance for technological reproduction;
- a model of optimizing investment projects portfolio to stimulate commercial banks for financing commercialization of innovations at enterprises;
- a concept of financial mechanism for preventing and eliminating environment impacts in exploiting production potential;
- a concept of the social state of Ukraine;
- a strategy of Donetsk city development till 2020.
